Quilt Patch, about 36x36 inches (estimate from memory), 2008-2009.I apologize for the horrible picture. This is my first quilt patch, made as a commission for a personal quilt. I believe a real quilter will use this square as part of a full sized quilt, and maybe fix it up in a few places, if needed. A lot of this was done on a sewing machine at my mother's house during the winter holiday. The rest was completed by hand once I returned to Boston in January. It was much more difficult to execute the pattern than I had originally planned. I had very little control and felt rather limited in what I could make and sew together, so I never expected it to look like this, but sometimes that can be beneficial.
